Red Hook says that they are very passionate about modding and official support is something they plan on devoting a lot of time towards now that the game itself is out there. The only notable item missing from today's 1.0 release is official mod support. There's also been a lot of new content and features added since then. Improved areas include a better driving system and first time user experience. Red Hook also made some changes to the 3D driving sections of the game based on feedback received from a Steam demo released in February. The closer Flagellant is to death, the more buffs he receives. Flagellant is able to pull negative status effects from other party members and apply them to himself. Those of you who have played the early access release on Epic will now also have access to those final two acts and the 12th character: Flagellant. The 1.0 release of Darkest Dungeon 2 includes 12 playable characters and a story that spans five acts. Developer Red Hook says that they are " thrilled to be back on Steam." Today, Darkest Dungeon 2 hits version 1.0 and with that milestone comes a full release of the game on Steam. For almost two years now, an early access release of Darkest Dungeon 2 grew and matured on the Epic Games Store.
